Potential to bounce back

Resilience is not just about recovering from major trauma. We also need the kind of day-to-day resilience to help us manage everyday set-backs, learn from failure and adopt healthy ways to manage our stress levels.

Neuroscience shows us what we can each do to take charge and manage our own brain chemistry.

While the programme will touch on the benefit of mindfulness practises and some cognitive methodologies, we will mainly concentrate on activities to demonstrate the point. Such as sea swimming, dancing, singing, laughing, drumming to name just a few.

Importantly resilience comes not just from the activity themselves but from overcoming our fears of looking stupid in front of other people.

Attending this Pod will help build confidence and self-esteem which can be taken into other areas of your lives.

Activities are always optional and done entirely at each individuals own risk.

“Joy, collected over time, fuels resilience – ensuring we’ll have reservoirs of emotional strength when hard things do happen.” Brené Brown
Accompanying you throughout the pod is Michelle Johansen, professional coach on a life-long journey of self-discovery.
